Financial Support

NSF IGERT Fellowship

One and two year fellowships are available for motivated PhD students from any UCSD department.Fellowship are available to US Citizens and permanent residents only.   Twenty-eight students are expected to benefit from this funding during the project (2010-2014).

The Fellowship provides $30,000 per year stipend and up to $10,500 for tuition and fees.

Summer Support

A small number of PhD students who have noted their interest in the CMBC Interdisciplinary Program and have been accepted as graduate students to UCSD, and intend to take the 16 unit Summer Course may be sponsored by donors.

CMBC Donor Fellowships

A small number of  one year fellowships may be available through donor support for 2010-2011.

Diversity Fellowships

In support of the IGERT project, the UCSD Office of Graduate Studies, provides one two-year San Diego Fellowship Award to a qualified applicant selected to enter the IGERT project.  Applicants are limited to incoming students who are US Citizens or Permanent Residents and the award may not be deferred.
