Film Screening - Displacement & Reparation: Climate, Labor & Migration Justice
UC San Diego's Nature Space Politics group is hosting a series of events in May including panels and screenings about the complex set of relationships between quasi-legal categories of “climate,” "economic” and “political” refugees and the real-human impact of climate-induced displacement within and across borders.
CMBC is pleased to support a film screening of Newtok on the evening of May 23 at The Loft UC San Diego as part of this symposium. Newtok is a film about a Yup’ik village at the edge of the Bering Sea seeking justice in the face of climate disaster.
In partnership with UC San Diego colleagues at: Nature, Space, Politics and Muir College. And the San Diego Environmental Film Festival (SDEFF)
