Continue the Journey
The ocean needs you and your unique talents. CMBC has curated a variety of job searching resources specifically for those who want to take the next step in understanding and protecting our planet.
CMBC Jobs List
In addition to the resources on this page, CMBC provides a free weekly jobs newsletter to our students, alumni, and affiliates.
Our newsletter highlights opportunities for people who hold a graduate degree and want to work in one or more of the research areas encompassed by our Center. We collect job submissions from our broader network and share them with our list almost every Friday.
Have an opportunity you’d like to share with our network? Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with:
- the URL/link/PDF for the posting
- job title
- location (if applicable)

Job searching tips
- LinkedIn's job board gets better every year as more companies are utilizing this feature. Make sure your LinkedIn profile is up-to-date and sign-up for job notifications in fields and locations you're interested in.
- Other local, state or national government job boards. Where do you live? Are you looking to move? There are many government offices, and even inter-governmental organizations, looking for expertise you can bring to the table.
- Don't forget to look directly at organizations you might want to work for. The Nature Conservancy, and IUCN have jobs all over the world - as do Oceana, Ocean Conservancy, WWF, National Geographic, and so many more.
CMBC as an organization does not have internships available at this time. If you’re interested in getting involved with one of our member labs, please contact the principle investigator (PI) for that lab directly to inquire about any opportunities.
